If you are a new user, then first you must have to create a new company on your system. Thereafter, you can start the recording process of your business transactions. You can also create all necessary ledgers accounts to maintain your accounts while recording transactions. If you are a new student and want to learn TallyPrime before buying it, then you can use the Educational version of TallyPrime software.

If you are using an earlier version of Tally, then you can easily upgrade to TallyPrime. Thereafter, you can continue your business as usual.

The first step you have to downloading the application setup file from the Tally Solution Website of TallyPrime Once the downloading process is completed you can easily install the application on your computer or laptop. You can install TallyPrime on any computer with 64-bit edition of Microsoft Windows 7 or later versions.

  a. First you have to go to the given webpage of Tally Solutions.

  b. Click on the Download button. Then an  executable file will get downloaded in the Downloads folder. If required then you can copy and paste it to any folder, if needed.

  a. Double-click setup.exe.

  b. Double-click Install New.

      – Click Configure button.

      – Double-click Application Path.

      – If requred then you can Click and change the path as per your requirement.

Note: If you are already using Tally.ERP 9, then it is recommended that you can install the TallyPrime application in a different folder. This will allow you to use both the products simultaneously, at your computer system.

     – Close the List of Configurations window.

The application gets installed, and the following window opens.

 e. Click Start TallyPrime button to launch the TallyPrime application software. You can also activate the license key, and thereafter, you can start using TallyPrime.

There are two types of TallyPrime application software: Single User Silver License and Multiuser Gold License.

If you have purchased a single user Silver License, then you can activate the license on one computer. However, if you have a multiuser Gold License, then you need to activate the license on one computer with the help of LAN support. Thereafter, you can configure all other installations using the same license.

1. Start your TallyPrime. The Welcome to TallyPrime screen appears on your screen.

2. Click Activate New License. If you have a Single-Site license, then enter your Serial Number, Activation Key, and Administrator e-mail ID. However, if you have a Multi-Site license, then refer to Multi-Site Licensing in TallyPrime for further details.

3. Press Enter or return key to start the procee. The Unlock License screen appears.

4. Enter the Unlock Key sent to your e-mail ID.

5. Press Enter or return key to unlock your license TallyPrime software.

Once your license is unlocked, the following message appears on your computer screen. “Congratulations! Your license is sucessfully activated.” (Press Enter to Continue).

Once you activate the license of TallyPrime, then you can easily create your first company and start using TallyPrime for all the business transactions.
